You should also have air tight container to store it. Buy standard sized eggs for this process. For a beginner, you can start it by using half zone eggs for this process. In a cook dry method, you have to beat six eggs in bowl with blender for fine mixture. Then just pour the batter in non-stick pan and create scrambled eggs out of it. These scrambled eggs should go on dehydrator shelf now. Preheat the dehydrator at 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the machine work for four hours. You will get good dehydrated chunks after four hours. Use mixer grinder to create a fine powder out of it.
To create egg based protein powder using wet dry method, grease a fruit roll sheet along with paper towel. Beat the six eggs in a bowl and pour the mixture on these sheets. Keep the roll sheet in dehydrator which is set at 145 degrees Fahrenheit. It will take 16 hours now to get completely brittle egg powder. After 16 hours, grind the dry chunks till you get fine powder. Store it into air tight container. This method will give you better powder than the previous one. The wet dry method is best for the creating the fine powder. People use cook dry method because cooking under high heat kills all the bacteria in the egg and it is less time consuming as well. But the egg powder will be cooked again for various dishes so any method will do here. The cook dry method won’t be good if you plan to use the powder in baking activities. It requires the fluffiness from the eggs which won’t be there as eggs are already cooked. Don’t get afraid if wet dry method creates orange powder. Once you use the powder for cooking, it will turn yellow again. There are many ways to use the powdered eggs. It is true that you won’t be able to create classic poached egg but you should explore more dishes with dry eggs.
